Plantar Wart (Verruca Planters)
Plantar Warts are known as Verruca Planters. They can appear as a solitary wart or can form a mosaic cluster with many small warts in groups. Warts appear when the skin is infected by a virus and can develop commonly in children, adolescents, or the elderly.
Causes
Plantar warts occurs when the skin is in direct contact with the man papilloma virus (HPV)
Symptoms
Thickened skin over the wart which grows deeper into the skin overtime.
Pain when walking or standing
Pin point bleeding
Diagnosis

Treatment
Our Foot and ankle surgeon may use topical or oral treatments, advanced laser therapy, cryotherapy (freezing), acid treatments or surgery to remove the wart.
